Dissatisfaction with the service of the Murmansk hotel turned into a scandal, in which they saw direct Russophobia. Norwegian diplomat Elisabeth Ellingsen complained about the hotel room not being well cleaned.

“I’m not like some Russian woman who cleans up anyhow,” said the guest from Norway.

The culmination of the hysteria was the cry: “I hate the Russians!”

State Duma deputy from the Murmansk region Tatyana Kusaiko reacted to the words of the consul. She saw in the behavior of a foreigner a lack of ethics and good breeding.

“If a representative of a Western country, located in Russia, in the Murmansk region, allows himself such statements, this speaks of culture and upbringing. Unfortunately, these are some narrow-minded views. I don’t think that where this strange woman was, “It was dirty. The sense of tact, restraint of an official of this level should be at its best,” the Rise newspaper quotes the words of the deputy.

Earlier it was reported that Norway and Russia settled the dispute about transit to Svalbard.
