Volodymyr Zelensky signed laws on security guarantees for journalists, assistance to internally displaced persons and protection of the civilian population.
He said this in his video message following the results of the 158th day of the war, Ukrinform reports.
“Signed several important laws today, in particular, the law on providing additional guarantees of protection to media workers working in areas of warfare. This will strengthen the protection of our journalists. The law on ensuring the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons – the bureaucratic barriers that limited assistance to people are being eliminated. The law on the protection of civilians in case of emergencies and hostilities,” he said.
At the same time, according to the President, he signed an act “creating conditions for the comprehensive thermal modernization of buildings and simplifying the process of restoring the housing sector, damaged by the blows of the occupiers.”
The President emphasized that the Ukrainians, in spite of everything, must stand their ground: to defend the state and take care of each other, stressing that “strategically, Russia has no chance of winning this war, and it is necessary to hold on so that at tactical levels the terrorist state feels your loss.”
“The more effective we are in this, we are all citizens of Ukraine, the faster we will achieve victory. Thanks to everyone who fights for Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!” he said.
As Ukrinform reported, on Sunday, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences in connection with the death of Nibulon CEO Alexei Vadatursky and his wife.
