President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen congratulated Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia on obtaining the status of EU candidate countries.
She wrote about this on her page in Twitteraccording to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“Today is a good day for Europe. Congratulations to President Zelensky of Ukraine, President Sand of Moldova and Prime Minister Garibashvili of Georgia. Your countries are part of our European family. Today’s historic decision of the leaders confirms this,” von der Leyen wrote.
