The occupiers keep almost 800 residents of Mariupol in two “filtration” camps in the Donetsk region

About it informs Kharkiv Human Rights Group (KHPG).

The men continue to be kept in poor conditions despite undergoing “filtration” as early as mid-April.

As Olga KhPG, the girlfriend of one of the men held in the “filtration” camp of Russians, told KhPG, in mid-April they were forcibly taken out of Mariupol to undergo the so-called “filtration”.

This procedure consists in identifying in men possible involvement in the Ukrainian army or law enforcement agencies. “They are completely scanned, photographed, fingerprinted, heavily interrogated, phone checked,” Olga said.

Despite the fact that Olga’s boyfriend underwent a filtration procedure on April 16, “DPR” militants continue to hold him at a school in the village of Kazatskoye, Kherson region, without handing over his documents.

According to her, all the other men in the Bezymyanny and Kazachye camps have also been filtered, but are still being held in poor conditions. In Kazatsky, one of the hostages died due to lack of medical care.

Due to the fact that the military is almost daily in a state of intoxication, the attitude towards the hostages is changing for the worse. The “DPR” militants can put civilians in a dug hole for an indefinite period of time if they don’t like something. So, two men tried to run away, but they were caught, severely beaten and taken to a pre-trial detention center in occupied Donetsk.

According to Olga, 188 people were taken from the village of Mirnoye in Mariupol to Kozatsky, and another 600 to Bezymyanny. Among those held in the camps there are patients with tuberculosis.

As reported, Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Petr Andryushchenko published a video from the “filtration” camps, which the Russian invaders staged for Ukrainians from Mariupol and neighboring settlements. According to him, the camps are turning into a real ghetto. Almost four weeks ago, about 2,000 people were taken to camps in the villages of Bezimennoye and Kazatskoye in the Novoazovsky district, all the men were forcibly taken out of the Guglino, Mirny and Volonterovka districts.
