The number of injured children in Ukraine as a result of Russian aggression has increased to 417
In Ukraine, as a result of a full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, 226 children were killed, 417 were injured.
According to Ukrinform, the Office of the Prosecutor General announced this in Telegram.
“More than 643 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of May 11, 2022, the official number of child victims has not changed – 226. The number of injured has increased – 417, ”the report says.
The prosecutor’s office notes that these figures are not final, since work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Children suffered the most in the Donetsk region – 139, Kyiv – 116, Kharkiv – 99, Chernihiv – 68, Kherson – 46, Lugansk – 45, Mykolaiv – 44, Zaporozhye – 28, Sumy – 17, in Kyiv – 16, Zhytomyr – fifteen.
Thus, on May 9, a 13-year-old teenager was wounded as a result of shelling by Russian troops of a residential area in the city of Lisichansk, Lugansk region.
As a result of daily bombardments and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation of Ukrainian cities and villages, 1,657 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 139 of them were completely destroyed.
As Ukrinform reported, on May 10, the Russian military shelled a boarding school in Horske, Luhansk region, where children with special needs were studying.
