The Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine

Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra stressed that the Netherlands would continue to support Ukraine.

“It is important to be in Kyiv today, to witness the consequences of Russian aggression against the Ukrainian people. And after many phone calls, it’s nice to shake hands with Dmitry Kuleba again. We will continue to support Ukraine and provide military, humanitarian and financial assistance,” Wopke Hoekstra wrote.

He noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during the meeting expressed gratitude for the support of the Netherlands.

“He appreciates the supply of weapons, sanctions and a team that collects evidence of war crimes. On the other hand, he says that the war continues and needs more help for Ukraine,” the Dutch Foreign Minister quotes NOS.

President Zelensky also discussed with the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership.

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Foreign Ministers of Germany and the Netherlands Annalena Burbock and Wopke Hoekstrom.

He is convinced that with such support, Ukraine will win.

Foreign Ministers of the Netherlands and Germany Wopke Hoekstra and Annalena Burbock are in Ukraine on May 10.
