Residents of the occupied Crimea are beginning to realize the reality of transferring the war of Ukraine against the Russian aggressor to the territory of the peninsula.

This was announced by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky in an interview with the Radio Liberty project. Crimea. Realitiesreports Ukrinform.

“Gradually, this is getting to the population of Crimea. We are really monitoring those issues that relate to such public sentiments. I will say one thing: firstly, they have changed, those people who have relatives on the territory of our state have changed, be it Kyiv, be it Kharkiv, relatives in the occupied territories, where villages and towns were simply destroyed. And the second is those relatives where brothers, sons, parents died… The threat of transferring the war to the territory of Crimea is already becoming a reality for them,” Skibitsky said.

He also said that in the Russian military units that suffered significant losses during the invasion of Ukraine, the number of refusals to renew the contract is growing. Since Russia does not admit that it is waging war, there should be no legal responsibility for such a refusal.

As Ukrinform reported, Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Tamila Tasheva noted that Russia is carrying out covert mobilization in the occupied Crimea, and is also recruiting students as part of an illegal conscription campaign, planning to send them to war with Ukraine. In order to replenish reserves due to colossal losses and carry out covert mobilization, Russia hides real losses, conducts secret burials on the territory of the occupied Crimea, and prohibits the dissemination of truthful information. The mission is already aware of 125 burials of Russian soldiers in the territory of the occupied Crimea, of which 62 are probably Ukrainian citizens.
