The tour of the rock veteran was planned back in 2020. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, they had to be postponed.

Concerts are by no means ordinary. And as part of Waters’ “This Is Not a Drill” world tour. The show, he says, “includes a dozen great songs from Pink Floyd’s golden era along with a few new ones – words and music, same writer, same heart, same soul, same person.”

The tour of the rock veteran was planned back in 2020. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, they had to be postponed. The tour started on July 6 in Pittsburgh, USA. Now Roger Waters performs successfully in the USA and Canada. In mid-October, the overseas part of the tour will end in Mexico City. In the spring, the musician will perform at the arenas of the leading cities and capitals of Europe. Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Bologna, Glasgow, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Milan, Munich, Paris, Prague, Oslo, Stockholm, etc. The tour will end on June 6 in London.

On April 21-22, the legendary musician was expected in Krakow. Alas…

Concerts have been cancelled. Moreover, Jesuitically, having dumped from a sick head to a healthy one. Say, the British rocker himself refused to perform in Krakow. This version was launched by the Polish media, the English “The Guardian”. Unfortunately, a number of our media fell for the Polish misinformation.

Roger Waters had to give a refutation in social networks the other day: neither he nor his managers canceled the concerts! “In fact, Krakow City Council member Mr. Lukasz Wantuch threatened to hold a meeting and declare me “persona non grata” for my public efforts to end the catastrophic war in Ukraine through negotiations, and not escalate the situation to a bitter end, which could be a nuclear war and the end of all life on the planet. This guy in the local newspaper urged the good people of Krakow not to buy tickets for my show. Not very democratic, sir! If Mr. Lukasz Wantuch achieves his goal and my upcoming concerts in Krakow are cancelled, it will be a sad loss for me. Because I look forward to sharing my message of love with the people of Poland, which is what I have been doing throughout my career as a musician for over fifty years. And also, unfortunately, Wantuch’s draconian censorship will deprive the citizens of Krakow of the opportunity to see my new show, “This is not a teaching,” and form their own opinion.

Draconian censorship worked. On Wednesday, September 28, the city council of Krakow unanimously recognized Roger Waters as persona non grata. As “a person supporting the Kremlin regime.”

The promoter of the concerts, the Polish branch of the American company Live Nation, has confirmed that both performances scheduled for April have been cancelled. But he didn’t give reasons.

Why exactly Poland, the only one in the impressive list of European countries where the legendary musician will perform in the spring, canceled his tour, having arranged “draconian censorship”?

In Rudyard Kipling’s famous “Jungle Book” there is a remarkable character – Tabaqui the jackal, henchman of the tiger Shere Khan. His name means “dog that licks dishes”. This scavenger is despised by the wolves who raised Mowgli.

The Polish authorities are now acting in Europe as such a jackal henchman under US President Biden. Actively pursuing his policy on the continent. They have handed over hundreds of Soviet tanks and other weapons to Kyiv, and are constantly seeking tougher sanctions against Russia from the European Union. In September, Poland even turned its tail on Germany, officially demanding “reparations” for the astronomical sum of 1.32 trillion dollars for losses in World War II…

By the way, the draft resolution on the recognition of Roger Waters as persona non grata was prepared by the deputies of the ruling Law and Justice party in Poland.

“Arms supplies by the West will only prolong the war in Ukraine”

In fact, the reason for the cancellation of the concerts of the British musician in Krakow well known. His open letter to the wife of the President of Ukraine Zelensky, posted on social networks.

“September 4, 2022 Dear Mrs. Zelenskaya! The BBC quotes you as saying: “If support for Ukraine is strong, the crisis will be shorter.” Hm? If by “supporting Ukraine” you mean that the West will continue to supply weapons to the armies of the Kyiv government, I’m afraid you could be tragically mistaken. Throwing fuel in the form of weapons into a skirmish has never worked to shorten war in the past. It won’t work now either. Especially since most of the fuel (a) is thrown into the fire from Washington, D.C., which is a relatively safe distance from the conflagration; and (b) because the “fuel throwers” have already declared their interest in keeping the war going as long as possible… If we want to achieve a different result, we will have to look for another way. It may lie in your husband’s previously stated good intentions. Yes, I mean the platform on which he ran so commendably for the presidency of Ukraine and won his historic landslide victory in the democratic elections in 2019. He promised to: End the civil war in the East, bring peace to the Donbass and partial autonomy for Donetsk and Lugansk. And also to ratify and implement the rest of the Minsk agreements -2.

One can only assume that your husband’s electoral politics did not suit certain political factions in Kyiv and they convinced him to change course diametrically, ignoring the mandate of the people. Unfortunately, your husband agreed with the totalitarian, anti-democratic rejection of the will of the Ukrainian people. And the forces of extreme nationalism that maliciously hid in the shadows have ruled Ukraine ever since. They have crossed many red lines that have been clearly marked for a number of years by your neighbours, the Russian Federation. And, as a result, they, extreme nationalists, put your country on the path of this catastrophe. I won’t continue. If I’m wrong, please help me understand how to do this? If I am not mistaken, please help me in my honest endeavor to convince our leaders to stop the massacre. Which serves only the interests of the ruling classes and extreme nationalists both here in the West and in your beautiful country… Wouldn’t it be better to demand the fulfillment of your husband’s election promises and put an end to this deadly war? With love, Roger Waters.”

Do you understand now why the legendary rock musician was declared persona non grata in Poland and his concerts were banned?
