The iron curtain descending on the territory of Russia will pass along the eastern border of Ukraine, and not along the western one.
This was stated by Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk in circulation to the guests of the charity evening in Davos Free Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
“The iron curtain that descends on Russian territory will pass along the eastern border of Ukraine, and not along the western one. Ukraine is fighting for its right to be a member of the family of European, civilized choice. Ukraine is fighting with weapons in its hands, politically, economically, diplomatically – on all fronts – for its future and for its life, to which it has the right,” the official said.
According to her, Ukraine is fighting with blood for its membership in the European Union, and we “have the right to receive weapons and drive the enemy out of our land.”
“Our army must receive much-needed heavy weapons so that, in addition to motivation and an insane desire to win, we have something to drive out the occupier,” Vereshchuk added.
As reported, on February 24, Russian President Putin announced the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, carrying out massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and ballistic missiles.
