Russian invaders released the kidnapped vice-rector of Kherson State University Maxim Vinnik, he is already in the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

About this in Facebook Rector of Kherson State University Oleksandr Spivakovsky said, Ukrinform reports.

“Our friend, colleague, Vice-Rector of Kherson State University Maxim Vinnik is already in the government-controlled territory of Ukraine. I just called and said that everything is fine with him and he is safe, ”he wrote.

Vinnik was released a few days ago, information about the release was made public only now for security purposes, the rector noted.

Spivakovsky thanked the educational community for their support – teachers, staff, students of KSU and other universities in the country and abroad, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, international and state human rights institutions, law enforcement agencies, the public, and journalists. According to him, every word on the air is important, every publication, post, mention in reports, including in the international arena.

As Ukrinform reported, on June 14, collaborators Tatyana Tomilina and Tatyana Kuzmich, together with the armed Russian military, broke into Kherson State University. On the same day, the invaders kidnapped Vice-Rector of KhSU Maxim Vinnik.

Currently, the control center of Kherson State University temporarily operates on the basis of the National University of Prykarpattya.

The rector of Kherson State University, Alexander Spivakovsky, called on university employees who are on the temporarily occupied territory not to cooperate with the enemy. He assured that all financial obligations to those who are in forced downtime and those who work remotely will be fulfilled.
