The invaders continue to seize banks in the Kherson region, they want to quickly oust the hryvnia from circulation

On the seizure of the branch of Ukrgasbank, Center for Investigative Journalism told numerous witnesses.

“In the morning, a Gazelle with Ukrainian numbers drove up to the bank. Bandit-like people ran out of there, trying to cut out the front door. Then they broke into the room and took something out for a long time, and also brought it in. Together with the occupiers, Igor Filipchuk, a local collaborator, the father of the Gauleiter of Kakhovka Pavel Filipchuk, was “spinning,” said residents of Kakhovka.

Earlier, the invaders robbed the offices of MTB Bank and Oschadbank located in the center of Kakhovka. According to witnesses, the mother of Gauleiter Kakhovka, collaborator Elena Filipchuk, helped them to take out the property of these banks. Now, in the premises of the captured banks, the occupiers have set up so-called “social services” and points for issuing handouts of 10 thousand Russian rubles.

As local residents reported in Kherson groups of social networks, in the regional center, under the onslaught of the occupiers, the A-Bank branch on the Nikolaev highway ceased to exist. It was called the last bank where Kherson residents could withdraw cash from cards without commissions.

As reported, recently Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Kherson region are trying to completely oust the hryvnia from circulation. To introduce the “ruble zone” here, they attracted a bank from the unrecognized “South Ossetia” with experience in the “Lno” and “DPR” – “International Settlement Bank”, as well as the Russian Promsvyazbank. They also began to withdraw payment terminals from stores for paying with bank cards.

The material was prepared by the Information Press Center NGO within the framework of the project IWPR with the support of the European Union and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
