We continue to acquaint with the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Privates, sergeants, corporals and officers who showed their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the militia units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, are highly appreciated.

Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counteroffensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards. The servicemen are sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.

“To teach the unfaithful army that to sharpen burned-out iron,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And he also noticed: “Two owners in one house cannot be.”

Senior Sergeant Kirill MAKSIMENKO

“Senior Sergeant Kirill Maksimenko, as part of the material support battalion, performed tasks for the logistics of Russian units in areas located in close proximity to areas controlled by Ukrainian militants. He took part in the delivery of materiel to personnel on the line of contact with the forces of the nationalists. Moving towards the positions of the Russian troops, the column, which included Kirill, came under fire from Ukrainian saboteurs. Not at a loss, senior sergeant Maksimenko took up a firing position and destroyed 3 saboteurs with aimed fire from standard weapons. A few days later, senior sergeant Kirill Maksimenko performed the task of defending one of the settlements liberated from the armed formations of militants. Ukrainian nationalists, trying to regain control over the settlement, launched a massive attack on the area where the unit was located. During the clash, senior sergeant Kirill Maksimenko, having shown courage and professionalism, personally destroyed more than 5 nationalists, as a result of which the militants retreated and were subsequently destroyed.

Lieutenant Alexander UVAROV

“The commander of the communications platoon, Lieutenant Alexander Uvarov, together with the platoon entrusted to him, ensured uninterrupted communication within the battalion-tactical group of Russian military personnel, as well as with the higher command. During the attack on the positions of Ukrainian nationalists, the unit, in which Alexander provided communications, came under enemy fire in response. With heavy artillery fire from the enemy, Lieutenant Uvarov skillfully and selflessly directed the actions of the personnel of the mobile communication group. During the next shelling, the communication equipment was damaged by a fragment of a mine. Alexander Uvarov personally, despite the attacks of the enemy, moved forward to restore the communications equipment, disabled by fragments of enemy shells. Acting boldly and decisively, Alexander promptly repaired all damage and reconfigured the communication station. Thanks to the courage, bravery and professionalism of Lieutenant Alexander Uvarov, the damaged equipment was promptly restored, which made it possible to ensure stable control of the armored personnel carrier in battle and repel the attack of the nationalists.

“The platoon commander, Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Murashov, together with the platoon entrusted to him, performed the tasks of providing fire support to Russian units fighting fierce battles with Ukrainian nationalists. A sabotage and reconnaissance group of militants made an attempt to break through deep into the liberated settlement. During the battle, despite enemy artillery and mortar attacks, Dmitry Murashov, skillfully directing the actions of his subordinates, prevented the enemy from breaking through. A platoon under the command of senior lieutenant Murashov destroyed 4 armored personnel carriers and more than 15 nationalists. The surviving enemy saboteurs left the battlefield. The bold and decisive actions of senior lieutenant Dmitry Murashov, as well as the professionalism and coordinated actions of his subordinates, made it possible to prevent the activities of Ukrainian saboteurs in the liberated settlement.”
