The head of state awarded 195 defenders of Ukraine, 17
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree awarding 195 combatants, 17 of them posthumously.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in video message at the end of the 119th day of the war, Ukrinform reports.
“Today I signed a new decree on rewarding our heroes. State awards were given to 195 combatants, 17 of them posthumously,” the President said.
On February 24, the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Its troops shell and destroy key infrastructure facilities, conduct massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, air bombs and ballistic missiles.
