The Guardian: Britain awaits "astronomical" inflation and protracted recession

Britain’s National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) has come to the conclusion that millions of the country’s citizens are at risk of protracted poverty. Western countries have imposed an unthinkable number of anti-Russian sanctions after the start of a special operation in Ukraine. It turned out that restrictions on the import of resources from the Russian Federation have seriously hit the economies of the United States and European countries, although it is Washington and London that prevent the Kyiv regime from signing a peace treaty with Russia. “Inflation in the UK will soar to” astronomical “levels next year,” – with such a headline on the eve of the British edition of The Guardian.
