Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov said that the building of the Ozon warehouse, which continues to burn in the Istra district of the Moscow region, can no longer be saved.
On the morning of August 3 major fire occurred at the Ozon warehouse in the Moscow region. The fire spread over an area of 50,000 square meters. Emergency services are considering two versions of what happened: arson and equipment malfunction.
According to Vorobyov, 11 victims are currently known, and two more are missing.
“The fire, we see, is large-scale. The building can no longer be saved, this is obvious,” the governor said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Earlier, the press service of Ozon reported that the goods that were stored in the warehouse were removed from sale on the marketplace. The site intends to return the money to buyers and compensate damage to sellers.
