On May 10, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted two resolutions concerning the activities of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
This was reported in Facebook Deputy Interior Minister Bohdan Drapyaty, Ukrinform reports.
According to the official, one of the adopted regulations – “On the training of drivers and the state registration of vehicles during the period of martial law in Ukraine” – aims to provide an opportunity for citizens who have temporarily moved to live in another place (region) to pass a practical exam in any service center. center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, regardless of where the theoretical exam was passed.
The purpose of the resolution is also to provide the opportunity for theoretical training of persons undergoing training, retraining and advanced training of vehicle drivers using information and communication tools (Zoom, Skype, etc.).
It is also envisaged to provide an opportunity for citizens who have temporarily moved to live in another place (region) to obtain a driver’s license at any territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, regardless of the place where the exams are taken.
At the same time, the training period for future drivers in categories B (cars) and C1, C, C1E, CE (trucks with a trailer) has been reduced by reducing the theoretical part by 20%.
The government also established the possibility to return a vehicle registration certificate issued at the request of its owner in the name of a person traveling abroad, within ten days from the day the person returned from abroad to any service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Another normative act provides for the division of training in a driving school (educational institution) into two stages: theoretical training, based on the results of which the institution will issue the student with an appropriate certificate, which will be valid for one year, and practical management, based on the results of which the institution will issue the student a certificate of completion of practical training which will be valid for two years.
At the same time, the possibility of issuing a driver’s license and passing exams at any service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been established for persons whose term of deprivation of the right to drive has expired.
Admission to training in practical driving will be granted only after successfully passing the theoretical exam at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the request of a person, practical training can be carried out in any institution, regardless of the institution in which this person received theoretical training.
At the same time, the internal theoretical exam in a driving school has been canceled – after passing the theoretical training, only an internal practical exam will be taken after the completion of practical training.
It will be possible to pass a practical exam at any territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It also provides for the possibility of obtaining paid license plates for all vehicles (now the issuance of paid license plates is carried out exclusively for cars).
As reported, from April 5, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs resumed the provision of services for ordering individual license plates.
