The government has created a coordinating headquarters for the evacuation of residents of the Donetsk region

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created a Coordinating Headquarters that will organize the evacuation from the Donetsk region.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reports this in Facebook.

“Today, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the initiative of the Ministry of Reintegration and created the Coordination Headquarters, which will deal with the evacuation from the Donetsk region,” the report says.

The headquarters for the evacuation of residents of the Donetsk region was headed by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk.

As emphasized in the ministry, the Donetsk region is now on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe: active hostilities continue, the infrastructure is destroyed. People risk not only falling under shelling: in the absence of heat, medicine and food, it will not be easy to survive in winter.

It is indicated that the exit is evacuation.

In order for it to go smoothly and safely, it is necessary to coordinate the actions of the authorities, the military, and volunteers. It is necessary to take people out of a dangerous place, find them shelter, provide assistance, resettle them. All this is the work of the headquarters, ”the message says.

The Coordination Headquarters included representatives of ministries, law enforcement agencies and regional military administrations.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 27, the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine updated the list of communities in the areas of hostilities, in the WTO and those in the encirclement.
