The enemy is preparing provocations in the Black Sea – using captured Ukrainian ships

Russian invaders are preparing new provocations in the Black Sea. It is possible that the enemy will use a Ukrainian boat of the Gyurza-M type captured in the port of Berdyansk.

According to Ukrinform, about this in Facebook warns the Association for the Reintegration of Crimea.

“The aggressor transferred to the Black Sea a Gyurza-M-type artillery boat captured in the port of Berdyansk, which was seen in May in the bays of Sevastopol and near the same Zmeiny Island.<...>

Currently, there are reports of attempts by the invaders to use the radio equipment of the Gyurza-M boat to spread fake “messages” on frequencies intended for the safety of navigation, the report says.

South of Snake Island, there is a “constant accumulation of merchant ships that are sent in Romanian territorial waters to Ukrainian ports on the Danube – Reni and Izmail,” the Association added.

Therefore, in the future, the use of Ukrainian assets seized by the aggressor, in particular the mentioned boat, for direct provocations against merchant ships of third countries for an incident with victims or pollution of the marine environment with Ukraine being blamed for this is not ruled out.

Also, the invaders can organize an attack by an allegedly “Ukrainian” boat on auxiliary naval or special ships of Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania or Turkey, or even fire from it on coastal civilian objects in Bulgaria or Romania.

The Association has already reported that the Russian military is constantly resorting to new provocations in the Black Sea area. In particular, the aggressor reports fake “humanitarian corridors” from the seaports of Ukraine, allegedly “to withdraw merchant ships from them.” But at the same time, such “corridors” are declared by the enemy either from Ukrainian ports captured by Russian troops, such as Kherson, or from those that are under constant fire from the Black Sea Fleet.

Also, in May 2022, the enemies significantly increased their own grouping on Zmeiny Island, deploying air defense systems, drones and rocket artillery systems on it.

“Our Association reported these actions of the invaders, representing new risks for merchant shipping, to authorized international structures such as the International Maritime Organization and the International Labor Organization,” the message says.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 26, Ukrainian defenders discovered a boat of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the island, which was previously captured by the Russian military in Berdyansk.
