The Czech Republic handed over structures to Ukraine for the construction of two 36-meter temporary bridges to restore transport links in the regions.

This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Highways Andriy Ivko in Facebookreports Ukrinform.

“With the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ukravtodor and the Administration of State Material Reserves of the Czech Republic in July signed documents on the transfer to Ukravtodor of two more 36-meter temporary bridges: a two-story double-walled reinforced bridge deck TMS Z2p2sz and a two-story double-walled reinforced bridge deck and over a pedestrian bridge “, the message says.

It is noted that 15 trucks with structures arrived from the Czech Republic to Poland and in the coming days they will go to the territory of our country.

According to Ukravtodor, Ukraine has already received similar bridges from the Czech Republic in June, one of which has already been installed in the Kyiv region, the second will be built in one of the central regions. For Ukraine, as Ivko emphasized, today such bridges are one of the alternative ways to provide communication where it is very important to establish logistics hubs.

As reported, near the village of Demidov in the Kiev region, the passage on the bridge over the Irpin River was restored. The bridge is located on the highway R-02 Kyiv – Ivankov – Ovruch and provides transport links between the Dymersky united territorial community and the capital. Repair work was completed in six days.
