Kmitovsky Museum of Fine Arts. I. D. Bukhanchuk in the Zhytomyr region launched a cultural project “Basement”, aimed at psychological support for migrants.
According to Ukrinform, the museum reports this in Facebook.
“In the Kmitov Museum of Fine Arts named after. I. D. Bukhanchuk, with the support of the EU, the Basement project was launched. It is designed to create a cultural space for the community, which is replenished by migrants from regions in which there are active hostilities. The project gives people the opportunity to receive psychological support in difficult times, unite the community, share their experiences, expressing it through creativity,” the message says.
The project started on July 29 with the opening of a personal exhibition of the Zhytomyr artist Elena Slavova. In addition, there was a presentation of a children’s poetic coloring book by Sergey Khrapchuk, which each child received as a gift.
The event also included a performance by puppeteer Sergei Solovyov and the Compliment puppet theater.
Kmitovsky Museum of Fine Arts. I. D. Bukhanchuk is located in the village of Kmitov, Glubochitsa territorial community.
