Miami, Dec. 9 The Cuban urban music singers El Micha and Chacal released this Friday their new single “Cámbiame esa carita”, a “catchy bachata with urban ‘flow'” now available on digital platforms that is accompanied by a video.
“Cámbiame esa carita” is the first song from an album that will be released in 2023 by Unplug Music Records, the record company led by El Micha.
According to a statement, these two great exponents of Cuban music join their voices in a new song to pay tribute to bachata, a musical genre that both singer-songwriters “respect.”
With the single, Chacal returns to the musical essence that allowed him to stand out vocally, while El Micha explores the genre for the second time “hand in hand with his friend and colleague.”
In this way, “the warm and melodious voice” of Chacal joins the “unmistakable tone and ‘chanteo'” of El Micha, to “invite us to believe in dreams without being discouraged or conditioned by the changes and comings and goings of life,” the statement read.
Along with the release of the single on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer, the official video, directed by Marcel Raúl Faez Díaz, based on an idea by the director himself, as well as by both performers, is available on YouTube.
The two performers appear in the video, who dance bachata with several models in a classic-style mansion, landscaped and with luxurious settings.
According to the statement, the film is a “true journey” in time and has as protagonists first some young people and then “two mature and successful men, who sing about life and their unstable love without ever forgetting their origins.” .
El Micha, who is currently promoting his new single in local and international media, will soon perform in various Latin American countries, where he is acclaimed for his musical diversity, the statement indicates without offering further details. EFE
