The CPD published a selection of fakes that propaganda spread in a day
The Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine presented a selection of fakes, manipulations and disinformation “stuffing” that Russian propaganda released during the day
According to Ukrinform, the CPD reports this in Facebook.
It is noted that on several Russian Telegram channels, citing “sources close to the military operation,” they spread the message that the Armed Forces of Ukraine “failed to destroy the Russian Raptor boats near Snake Island.” The statement also said that “the crews of the vessels were not injured.” The JRC reports that this is misinformation.
Also, the media of the Russian Federation spread the thesis that “despite the unsuccessful sowing campaign, grain is massively exported from the Odessa and Nikolaev regions in order to pay for lend-lease, and also to blame the Russian Federation for the new Holodomor.” Such a thesis is “thrown” into the information space, despite Ukraine’s plans for grain exports. The CPD reports that this is a manipulation.
Even during the day, the Russian media reported that “the residents of Mariupol are celebrating the long-awaited holiday with tears of joy. They can wear St. George ribbons, which Ukraine has banned for years.” Such a propaganda thesis is intended to illustrate that “Mariupol is returning to peaceful life.” The CPD says it’s a fake.
As Ukrinform reported, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine called manipulation cancellation in Russia of the aviation part of the parade on May 9 due to “bad weather”.
