The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of making a bail in the amount of UAH 3.7 million for the former director of the state-owned enterprise Ukrecoresursy, suspected of embezzling about UAH 14 million.

It is noted that on Thursday, at the request of the NABU detectives, agreed by the SAPO prosecutor, the investigating judge of the VAKS chose a measure of restraint for one of the suspects in the misappropriation of funds of the state enterprise in the amount of about UAH 14 million when fulfilling contracts for the purchase of vending machines for receiving used containers (vending machines), namely ex- director of the State Enterprise “Ukrecoresursy”, who currently holds a senior position in one of the National Agencies Ukraine.
“Thus, the court granted the petition and applied to the indicated suspect a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days with the alternative of making more than UAH 3.7 million bail,” the report says.
As reported, on June 21, law enforcement officers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau detained the ex-director of the state-owned enterprise Ukrekoresursy on suspicion of embezzling UAH 13.69 million.
