In Ukraine, the average price for grain is UAH 3-4 thousand per ton, while the prime cost is UAH 5.5-6 thousand.
Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, said this at a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center – Ukrinform.
“The cost of production today is many times higher than the price offered on the market. For example, we spend around UAH 5.5-6 thousand per ton of grown products, and it is sold within UAH 3-4 thousand”, the expert said.
Marchuk added that the resumption of full-fledged agricultural exports from Ukraine would help domestic prices rise to the level of international markets.
“The more intense the movement of exports through the seaport, the greater the supply of transportation opportunities will be. And thus the price inside should go up a little,” he explained.
As reported, on August 1, for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine, a ship with Ukrainian food left the port of Odessa. There are more than 26 thousand tons of corn on board. The Sierra Leone-flagged Razoni is heading to the port of Tripoli, Lebanon. It will move along the corridor, the security of which was confirmed by the UN and Turkey.
