The Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine released a compilation of fakes and manipulations that Kremlin propaganda released during May 10
According to Ukrinform, the CPD reports this in Telegram.
According to the Center, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that “the armed forces of Russia treat the civilian population with exceptional humaneness and do not strike at civilian infrastructure, unlike the armed formations of Ukraine, which use hospitals, residential buildings, churches, kindergartens and schools for the shelter of combat units and the placement of weapons.
The CPD warns: such statements by the Russian department are fake.
For their part, the Russian media are spreading the misinformative thesis that “after the cleansing of Popasnaya” the armed formations of the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions “reached the administrative border of the Lugansk region.”
The Center for Counteracting Disinformation emphasized that this thesis is thrown into the information space as a victory and “fulfillment of the goals of the special operation,” despite the fact that battles with the invaders in the region continue.
In addition, the Russian media said that “the British will be left without heating due to sanctions against the Russian Federation, and already now 10 million Britons may face a choice: freeze or become poor.”
According to Russian media, “due to rising fuel prices, it is already hard for them to pay their bills.”
The Center for Counteracting Disinformation notes: such theses of the Russian media are manipulation.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine launched fact check bot for tracking fakes. Thanks to it, it is possible to distinguish fake news in social networks, in politics, to identify false data from the Russian media aimed at fighting Ukraine.
