In the village of Kamyshevatoe, Russian specialists and employees of the Ministry of Transport of the Donetsk People’s Republic are restoring a bridge on the state highway M-14 Odessa – Melitopol – Novoazovsk. Its length is almost 110 meters. The crossing was blown up by Ukrainian militants during the retreat. Traffic in this area was completely stopped.

But soon the bridge will come to life. Renovation started here in early June. A restoration project was prepared, then the territory was cleared.

– We dismantled the collapsed part of the bridge structure – this is the second or third section. We built a temporary access road to perform concreting of racks and further installation of beams of the superstructure, – said the head of the contract for the construction of the bridge structure Alexei Zubenko.

Now work begins on the monolithic part of the bridge, and then new asphalt will be laid. The builders are planning to complete the renovation within a few months.

According to the chief specialist of the department of artificial structures of the Department of Highways of the Ministry of Transport of the DPR Natalya Kuzovkina, the restoration of the bridge on the section of the highway in Kamyshevaty will ensure uninterrupted transport links with settlements in the south of the republic and unhindered access to the borders of the Russian Federation.

– For the transport industry, this is one of the important strategic objects that requires serious approaches to recovery. Therefore, we thank the management and specialists of the EuroTransStroy company for helping our republic, – Kuzovkina said.

By the way, this year Russian specialists and the Ministry of Transport of the DPR plan to restore five bridges destroyed by Ukrainian militants.
