Restaurant Noma, located in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, and reputed to be the best restaurant in the world, will stop working. The reason for the closure of the restaurant was the attitude of the management towards their employees, as well as banal greed, writes New York Times.
The decision to close Noma was voiced by the now former chef of the establishment, as well as its co-owner René Redzepi. It is known that restaurant employees often had to work for 16 hours without a break, and interns in the institution worked for free.
Of course, the interns received a note in their resume about working in the best restaurant in the world, which allowed them to count on a good place in the future, but not everyone agreed to do the dirtiest and hardest work without receiving a penny.

After numerous lawsuits and scandals, Noma’s management became generous with the salaries for interns, but it turned out that this increased the cost of maintaining the restaurant by at least $ 50,000 a month.
After much deliberation, it was decided to close the status institution for guests, leaving it as a platform for developing new dishes that are sold in the online store. Former chef Redzepi will not leave the project and will try on the position of creative director.
