The introduction of a social tax deduction for working pensioners would help to equalize “social inequality”, but the project has serious shortcomings, the chairman of the Union of Pensioners of Russia explained Valery Ryazansky.
According to Ryazansky, the project may “stall” on the source of funding, which is not yet available.
“Here the question arises about the technology of budget policy. The fact is that the income tax, from which it is planned to make a deduction, goes to local budgets, and they are quite scarce today. And I doubt that the regions will take such a measure,” – explained the chairman of the Union of Pensioners of the Russian Federation Radio 1.
As Ryazansky emphasized, the approximate amount of compensation for tax deduction will be two thousand rubles. This amount is equal to the one that the pensioners refused to pay from the federal budget.
