The Taiwanese Ministry of Defense denounced this Monday the presence of 71 aircraft and five Chinese military ships in the vicinity of the island, arriving 47 of the airplanes to cross the so-called midline of the Taiwan Strait.

Among the 47 aircraft of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army that crossed the median line were twelve fighter jets J-11, 18 J-16 and six SU-30 fighterswhat crossed the midline between 06:00 local time on Sunday and 06:00 on Monday.

On December 22, Russian and Chinese warships carried out joint exercises in the East China Seacontinuing a series of military exercises that reflect growing defense cooperation between the two countries.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the missile cruiser Varyag, the destroyer Marshal Shaposhnikov and two corvettes of the Russian Pacific Fleet participated in the exercises. China has deployed two destroyers, a diesel submarine and other ships for the exercise.
