Two residents of Slovyansk, Donetsk region, were reported suspected of disseminating information about the movement and disposition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in Telegram.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, two citizens of Ukraine were informed of suspicion of disseminating information about the movement and location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 3 of article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the report says.
According to the investigation, in July 2022, a resident of Slovyansk received a task from the enemy to collect data on the location of military personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city.
To clarify certain information and coordinates on the ground, the suspect, using mobile applications, turned to another local resident for help. The woman sent the information received from him with geolocation to her curator.
The UCP informs that both suspects were detained on the basis of Art. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine (Detention by an authorized official).
As reported earlier, a man was detained in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who, on the instructions of the FSB of the Russian Federation, handed over to the enemy the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the location of strategic facilities in the region.
