Older Researcher Academy of Military Sciences Vladimir Prokhvatilov told how Russia can protect itself from the shelling of Ukraine. This is how the expert commented on the fire at the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in the Rostov region, which could result from strikes by Ukrainian drones.
Prokhvatilov said in an interview with MK that Russia, first of all, should strengthen its border troops and allow border guards to enter Ukrainian territory if necessary in order to eliminate the enemy’s firing positions, while “pushing” him to a sufficient distance from the borders of the Russian Federation.
Prokhvatilov also recalled the need to mask Russian military installations so that they would not be “seen” by UAV drones. And such facilities that cannot be masked, such as, for example, the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery, must be protected by powerful air defense systems.
