Spanish prosecutors are seeking eight years in prison for Colombian superstar Shakira in a €14.5 million tax fraud case.

If found guilty, Shakira faces eight years in prison and a fine of more than 23 million euros. A court date has not yet been set.

The singer herself denies her guilt and believes that the case violates her rights. According to her, she paid the Spanish tax office 17.2 million euros of debt.
