As of August 1, as a result of the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, 693 children were injured, 358 were killed, 203 were missing. At least 5,754 children have been forcibly displaced or deported.
About it on briefing Adviser – Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights and Child Rehabilitation Daria Gerasimchuk said, Ukrinform reports.
“As of today, 693 children have been injured, 358 have died, and 203 are missing. And at least 5,754 forcibly displaced and deported,” Gerasimchuk said.
According to her, law enforcement officers found 4,039 wanted children, 47 children were returned from deportation. And this is provided that the aggressor country claims at least 450,000 children displaced and deported to the territory of Russia.
“And they do not intend to return our children to us. Ukraine has never before faced such a threat to the life and freedom of a child. Therefore, now more than ever it is important to receive information as comprehensive and prompt as possible in order to record, investigate crimes and save,” Gerasimchuk emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, the Children of War portal launched in Ukraine, the purpose of which is to inform about children affected by Russian aggression, to establish their whereabouts and return.
