Siakam scores 35 as Raptors beat Hornets

TORONTO (AP) — Pascal Siakam had 35 points, Scottie Barnes chipped in 21 and the Toronto Raptors won three straight for the first time this season, beating the Charlotte Hornets 124-114 Thursday.

Gary Trent Jr. scored 19 points and OG Anunoby had 15 for the Raptors, who swept a pair of home games against the flagging Hornets. Toronto led by as many as 18 points and never trailed.

The Raptors have won five straight home games against Charlotte.

Fred VanVleet had 11 points and Precious Achiuwa assisted with 10, plus a career-high five steals, as Toronto improved to 3-2 in its longest six-game home stay. in the campaign.

The last of those commitments is scheduled for Saturday, against Atlanta.

Siakam made 11 of 13 shots, including all three of his 3-pointers. He went 10 of 12 from the foul line to reach thirty points for the 50th time in his career.
