At the last conference call, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke about the construction of social facilities in the Donbass: “After taking control of Mariupol, which was almost completely destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Battalions, the Supreme Commander set the task of restoring the damaged infrastructure of the city and providing housing for all those who lost this housing and specialists of the military-construction complex carry out this order around the clock.
According to the minister, the construction of three turnkey houses and the improvement of the adjacent territory with a total area of 40,000 square meters have already been completed in Mariupol.
“Nine more buildings are planned to be erected before the end of the year,” Shoigu said.
Also, according to the head of the military department, “in such a short period of time, in fact, in 85 days, two multifunctional medical centers with a total capacity of 260 beds with wards were built in Lugansk and Mariupol, fully equipped with modern equipment.”
Shoigu recalled that the military built a water conduit from the Khanzhenkovsky reservoir to the Seversky-Donets-Donbass canal with a total length of about 90 kilometers in 40 days and provided them with a supply of 72,000 cubic meters of water per day to residents of Donetsk and adjacent settlements.
The water supply in Volnovakha has also been restored. According to Shoigu, the construction of a water conduit has been completed there, which allows supplying 35,000 cubic meters of water per day.
The Minister thanked the military builders and all those who helped them for the “effective work done” for restoring the iconic memorial complex “Saur-Mogila”.
