Senior residents of Teploi Stan are invited to dance and sports classes

You can learn yoga, dance and just tighten your muscles at any age. The Sputnik Youth Leisure and Sports Center in Teply Stan invites participants of the Moscow Longevity project to join exciting activities. Club director Irina Dautova told what circles are considered the most popular among Moscow pensioners.

In September, a new direction was opened for residents of the “silver age” – ballroom dancing. Regular exercises improve the work of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, develop coordination. An experienced teacher-choreographer teaches classical waltz, cha-cha-cha, sambo and tango. Also, beginner dancers can learn movements from other dance styles. Lessons are held every Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 at the address: Teply Stan street, house 9, building 4.

Fans of other types of exercise are offered sections on general physical training. The main advantage of such classes is that they can be started without health restrictions. Sometimes classes are given outdoors. Trainings are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 at the site at the address: Leninsky Prospekt, Building 135, Building 1.

Among the residents of the older generation, a yoga circle is also very popular. The ancient combination of physical and spiritual practices develops not only the body, but also the mind. Classes are held Monday and Wednesday at the following locations:

  • Academician Varga, house 40, from 14:00 to 15:00 and from 15:15 to 16:15;
  • Teply Stan, house 9, building 4, from 11:45 to 12:45.

There are also creative directions in Sputnik. Music lovers can enroll in the “Choral Singing” studio. A professional choirmaster, conductor of an academic choir and author of his own methods teach here. “In the classroom, a special author’s program is used, which includes methods for developing voice and musical abilities. It is suitable even for beginners, regardless of the characteristics of the voice and the initial musical data,” says Irina Dautova, director of the center. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 14:00 to 16:00 at the address: Academician Bakulev Street, 6. Find out more and sign up for classes by phone: +7 (495) 438-39-56.
