Scheduled shutdown of hot water began in Kyiv

In Kyiv, public utilities have begun preparations for the heating season, from May 10, hydraulic tests of heating systems and a phased suspension of hot water supply are underway.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated by First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk. KSCA.

The networks will be tested in stages in all districts of the capital.

“Work has already begun on networks from heat sources in Goloseevsky, Svyatoshinsky, Shevchenkovsky, Obolonsky and Darnitsky districts. It takes approximately two weeks for each section to test and repair the detected damage to the networks. Currently, hot water supply will be suspended,” Povoroznik said.

Hydraulic tests are necessary to detect and timely eliminate the “weak” points of pipelines. This is an important stage in the preparation of heating networks for the load during the heating season.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 2, Naftogaz of Ukraine announced that they would leave the gas metering system in cubic meters for the period of martial law, postponing the introduction of kilowatt-hours in bills.
