The corresponding photos from May 19 and 21 are published by CNN.
“Based on new satellite photos of the Crimean port of Sevastopol, Russia’s theft of Ukrainian grain is on the rise as it continues its war against Ukraine. The images show two Russian-flagged bulk carriers moored and loaded with what appears to be stolen Ukrainian grain.
The photographs show the Russian bulk carriers Matros Pozynich and Matros Koshka, with a carrying capacity of 30,000 tons each, moored at the Avlita grain terminal in Sevastopol Bay. You can also see how grain is poured from the cargo belt into the open holds of ships.
According to the vessel tracking website MarineTraffic.com, both vessels have already left the port. “Matros Pozynich” is sailing along the Aegean Sea and heading to the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, while the “Matros Koshka” is still in the Black Sea.
The fact that the Russian-occupied Crimea produces very little grain indicates that the ships are likely to be loaded with stolen Ukrainian grain, in contrast to the agriculturally rich Kherson and Zaporozhye regions captured after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Ukrainian officials and industry sources told CNN that Russian troops in occupied areas have emptied several grain elevators and transported grain south.
In early May, Matros Pozynich was already transporting grain from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean. At first, he was heading to Egypt with his cargo, but after a warning from Ukrainian officials, he was returned from Alexandria. The ship was also banned from entering Beirut and eventually docked at the port of Latakia in Syria, where Russia has supported Bashar al-Assad’s regime for years.
As reported, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, since the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian invaders have taken from the new occupied territories to Crimea about 400-500 thousand tons of grain, as a result of which the losses of Ukrainian farmers amount to at least $ 125 million. Almost all ships coming from Sevastopol are loaded with stolen Ukrainian grain. This illegal business is supervised by the special services and military of the aggressor country.
By military intelligence informationa significant part of the grain stolen by the Russian troops in the new occupied territories of Ukraine, which was exported to Crimea, is exported to Syria, from where it can be smuggled to other countries in the Middle East.
The TsZhR reported on the total looting of the Russian military in the new Ukrainian occupied territories. Early vegetables are taken away or a penny are bought from farmers, which are then taken to the occupied Crimea. There with tilt trucks transport the grain that they steal from elevators and warehouses in Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Crimea does not need this grain, because it has enough of its own, moreover, it sends grain for illegal export to Syria and Egypt. But now it is increasing the volume of transshipment. Probably at the expense of hundreds of thousands of tons of looted grain from the newly occupied territories. Ekaterina Yaresko, Associate Professor of Kharkiv University and investigator of the SeaKrime project of the Peacemaker Center, spoke about this in detail on the air of the program “A Question of National Security” (TV project Center for Investigative Journalism).

At 4 am on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” in the occupied Donbas. Russia launched missile strikes on Ukrainian territory and launched a direct full-scale invasion in four directions. The armed forces of Ukraine are rebuffing the enemy, the blitzkrieg plan – to capture Kyiv in two or three days – failed, the Russian army retreated from the capital. The Russian military commits thousands of war crimes and crimes against humanity throughout Ukraine.
