Sánchez plans a dozen events in Davos in search of more investments

Madrid, 13 Jan. The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, will star this year at the World Economic Forum in Davos in a dozen events and meetings with heads of multinationals and funds, in which he intends to expose with data the solvency and strength of the Spanish economy as a destination for the investment.

Sánchez will participate for the fourth time in this world economic event, which this year will be held from January 16 to 20 in that Swiss city, and which will again be largely marked by the consequences of the war in Ukraine.

The head of the Spanish Executive will travel to Davos on Monday but will concentrate the bulk of his agenda on the following day, when he will participate in the plenary session of the forum to present the situation of the Spanish economy and his vision of international economic policy.

A speech in which, according to sources from the Executive, he will explain the reasons why he considers that Spain is a country that offers great opportunities for investment.

These reasons will also be conveyed directly in a meeting that will be held behind closed doors with CEOs of companies of international relevance who will be able to ask him about specific issues of the Spanish economy.

In addition to this joint meeting and another with the heads of the Spanish companies participating in the forum, there will be a series of individual meetings with senior managers of multinationals, including heads of Dow Chemical, Arcelor Mittal, Air Liquide, Qualcomm, Envision and Maersk.

He will also meet with the CEOs of two investment funds, BlackRock, considered the largest in the world, and Mubadala.

His agenda in Davos, which also includes two interviews with CNN and CBNC, will be completed with a meeting with the president of the Inter-American Development Bank, Ilan Goldfajn, and another with the general director of Oxfam International, Gabriela Bucher.

In addition, he will attend the dinner offered by the host of the forum, Klaus Schwab, to the international leaders and top managers of companies and organizations present this year at the meeting.

The Spanish Government highlights that similar meetings held by Sánchez in previous editions of the forum resulted in important investments that have already materialized or are in the process of doing so in Spain, and for this reason the presence at the highest level in an event of these characteristics is considered essential .
