Martín Demichelis has yet another reason to be happy about River Plate’s present. After the first victory achieved since his arrival, in the last friendly against Rayados de Monterrey, the coach celebrates the arrival of the fourth reinforcement of his cycle: Salomón Rondón. The Venezuelan forward agreed orally with the millionaire institution and in the next few hours he will sign a link that will unite him with the Núñez club until December 2024, with the option of renewing for another year.

Salomón Rondón, 33, has extensive experience at the international level, as well as being a representative of his national team. The Venezuelan comes from playing two seasons at Everton in the English Premier League. However, due to a lack of minutes, he terminated his contract and was offered to various Argentine clubs. An important piece of information is that the striker was a teammate of Demichelis in Malaga in Spain between 2010 and 2012, at the best moment of the Venezuelan.

A few days ago, faced with rumors of a possible incorporation to River Plate, Fernando Batista, a member of the coaching staff of the Venezuelan National Team, was enthusiastic about the arrival and described it as follows: “He is a very intelligent player, super professional, for something still holds in Europe. He knows Martín, they have a good relationship. I hope River comes, because he comes to one of the biggest clubs in South America. Players sometimes prioritize economics, now he prioritizes sports. If he comes to River he would be very good ”.

In this way, Micho adds more new faces to his team, which has already celebrated the return of Matías Kranevitter, Nacho Fernández and Enzo Díaz. The first two have already signed, the first is recovering from an ankle fracture, while the last one from Talleres de Córdoba will undergo a medical check-up and will sign in the next few hours.
