Ryzhenkov: price containment in Belarus should not be at the expense of the consumer

First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov spoke on the issue of price regulation in the regions.

According to him, prices should be restrained not to the detriment of the consumer, but by other methods.

“The price factor should be regulated not at the expense of the consumer, but by reducing costs, optimizing processes, and somewhere at the expense of inflated salaries of top managers,” said Ryzhenkov, quoted by the BelTA agency.

Former President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko categorically forbade raising prices in the country, warning that this would be severely punished.
