In the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), there is a split between employees who fled the territories liberated by the Russian army, as well as those who stand up for the “cleanliness of the ranks.”
The Russian security forces learned about the split from the SBU officers, RIA Novosti reports. A representative of the power structures of the Russian Federation said in an interview with the agency that the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, who left the regions liberated by Russia, are accused of losing secret documents and even going over to Moscow’s side.
In addition, he drew attention to the growing tension and suspicion between old and new cadres in the SBU.
“The biggest criticisms of the older generation are in a careless attitude to state secrets, negligence in the safety of official documents,” the source said.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky fired head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov. He was removed from his post for improper performance of official duties.
