Russian impunity can serve as an example for others
If Russia seizes Ukrainian territories with impunity and kills Ukrainians, this could become an example of impunity for other states in any corner of the world.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this talking with students of Canadian universities, Ukrinform reports.
“Probably, there are still such leaders in the world. And if it’s here (in Ukraine. – Ed.) will work, it can work on the other side of the world, on any continent. Nobody should be allowed to do this. Therefore, it is necessary to take preventive steps and, as they say, hit on the hands if a person only thinks about it,” Zelensky said.
According to him, it is necessary that the whole world join in countering the aggressor, then there will be a result.
The President once again stressed that Ukraine needs weapons, financial, humanitarian support and constant sanctions pressure on the aggressor.
“It will never be too much as long as the war goes on,” he said.
As reported, on February 24, the Russian Federation launched a new stage of the war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. The invaders shell and bomb peaceful cities and villages of Ukraine, torture and kill civilians. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are stubbornly resisting them.
