The Kremlin may come up with an initiative to break off diplomatic relations with the United States if the US Congress declares the Russian Federation a “sponsor of world terrorism.”
This was reported by TASS with reference to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
According to her, the decision of the White House will not force the Russian Federation to live in accordance with the world order invented by Washington.
“The logical outcome could also be a break in diplomatic relations, followed by USA risk finally passing the point of no return with all the ensuing consequences. This should be well understood in Washington,” the diplomat said.
After Russia launched a special operation in Ukraine, speculation began to surface that the White House might include the Russian Federation in the list of sponsors of terrorism. 21 July Nancy Pelosi threatened the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkenthat if he does not take any action, Congress itself will include Moscow in the list.
On July 27, the US Senate passed a resolution calling for Russia to be recognized as a sponsor of terrorism.
