Russia to get rid of vegetable imports after referendums – political scientist

Russia will get rid of imports of fruits and vegetables after Kherson and Zaporozhye regions join the country. This opinion was expressed by the political scientist Andrey Suzdaltsev.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that the accession of the liberated regions to the Russian Federation would increase the pace of development of agricultural enterprises.

“This will help get rid of the import of fruits and vegetables,” the expert stressed.

Suzdaltsev recalled that Russia spends $3 billion on such products every year. According to the political scientist, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions have excellent conditions for growing vegetables and fruits.
