Russian propaganda, with the help of Japanese parliamentarian Muneo Suzuki, is trying to persuade Ukraine to negotiate with the Russian Federation.
According to Ukrinform, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reports this in Telegram.
Suzuki, in a June 22 commentary to Russian RIA, blamed Ukraine for Russia’s unleashing a full-scale war. According to him, “Kyiv is responsible for the failure to comply with the Minsk agreements.”
Such a statement by the Japanese politician is a continuation of his rhetoric that Ukraine should urgently capitulate. On June 16, Yahoo News Japan published an article by Suzuki in which he stated that if Ukraine cannot fight without Western help, “an honorable surrender is important to save lives.”
This statement received a flurry of criticism from the Japanese society, which supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The JRC noted that on the eve of the G7 summit, which will be held in Germany on June 26, Russia, through loyal politicians, is even more actively trying to persuade Ukraine to negotiate.
As Ukrinform reported, Russia believes that it will be able to create an alternative to the G7, the international club of governments of seven highly developed countries of the world.
