After a long silence, People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Rosenbaum gave a frank interview on the YouTube channel “Empathy Manuchi”. In conversation with Vyacheslav Manucharov the singer expressed his opinion about military special operation in Ukraine. He admitted that the Ukrainian conflict is a great tragedy for him, since Ukraine is part of the motherland.
Rosenbaum stressed that he was aware of the reasons for the special operation, but it was extremely difficult to come to terms with what was happening.
“My genetic memory and my self-consciousness hates the swastika and fascism. I see and understand the reasons, but this does not negate my colossal heart and spiritual pain for what is happening,” said Rosenbaum.
The artist commented on the position of his colleagues, who decided to leave Russia after the start of the special operation. Rosenbaum emphasized that everyone has their own opinion and everyone has the right to decide how to act.
“I’m on my ship. I don’t abandon my ship. I want to make it so on my ship that it’s clear to the whole crew that if I don’t like something, I’ll do it on my ship, without switching to another, more convenient for me boat,” the artist said.
