Today, September 30, the annual Russian-Chinese youth festival opened in the Moscow region. It was organized by the Commission for Cooperation with Partners from China of the MCCI. The event is supported by the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society and the Rosa Khutor mountain resort.
“I am pleased to note that the Russian-Chinese Festival is already a kind of platform that is designed to discuss a wide range of problems related to the dynamic development of the youth of China and Russia. The topic of this forum – the professional development of youth – is in high demand today. Today’s youth is talented and energetic has a huge potential to implement the most promising ideas for the benefit of the peoples of our countries,” said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation, Mr. Zhang Hanhui.
Young entrepreneurs, Russianists and Sinologists will spend a weekend together from September 30 to October 2 to develop business ties, mutual exchange of experience, language practice, and acquaintance with the culture and traditions of the two countries.
“Political changes in 2022 showed not only a historically high, unprecedented level of Russian-Chinese relations, but also an acute problem of a lack of professional personnel to maintain and bring these relations to a new level. We pay great attention to the selection and training of promising personnel for business,” — notes the Chairman of the Commission for Cooperation with China of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anna Immortal.
The first such festival was successfully held at the Rosa Khutor resort in the fall of 2021. This year, the resort once again supported him, acting as a strategic partner. Rosa Khutor has been developing relations with the Chinese tourism market since 2016. Efforts to implement the resort’s communication strategy in the Russian-Chinese direction are yielding concrete results. The number of Chinese tourists at the resort for eight months of this year has already caught up with the figures for the entire previous year.
According to the Deputy General Director of the resort “Rosa Khutor” for international relations and tourism Sergei Khvorostyany the long-term development of relations between the youth of the two countries is the key to the success of the resort’s communication strategy when working with foreign markets. The resort considers it important to form new channels for delivering information and value propositions based on an analysis of the interests and needs of foreign guests. Such a marketing tool in the Chinese market is the use of the WeChat messenger system. On the basis of this system, a special mobile application “Rosa Khutor” was created, which contains detailed information in Chinese with a description and location of hotels, routes, attractions, restaurants and all resort activities.
“We see that it is the young members of society that retain the flexibility and ease of adaptation to rapid political, social and economic changes. It is very important for us to help strengthen ties between the youth of Russia and China. I am sure that after the removal of epidemiological restrictions, all our efforts will give rapid growth tourist flow from the PRC and will allow holding other events aimed at developing Russian-Chinese cooperation in tourism, sports, science and culture,” notes Sergey Khvorostyany.
The festival will last 3 days, as part of the program, in addition to cultural events and a plenary session dedicated to career development, there will be a large number of training master classes from top industry experts: China Professionals, Asia Pacific, B2B Translation, Sinofy Legal, Skolkovo Business School, Russian-Chinese youth business incubator, a network of Chinese language schools Panda School.
