Rescuers evacuated 340 civilians in Donetsk region per day

In the Donetsk region, over the past day, rescuers of the State Emergency Service evacuated 340 local civilians from settlements shelled by the enemy

According to Ukrinform, about this in Facebook reported the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.

It is noted that over the past day, the personnel of the Main Directorate carried out the evacuation of 12 people from the Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts. Also, during the evacuation at the railway station in the city of Pokrovsk, rescuers provided assistance to 219 people, including 14 children and nine people with disabilities.

In particular, during the evacuation in Toretsk, the personnel of the State Administration provided assistance to 109 people, including 43 children and three people with disabilities.

“In total, since February 24, 2022, 9,553 people have been evacuated from the settlements of Donetsk and Lugansk regions by employees of subordinate units of the Main Directorate,” the department stated.

The aggressor is constantly shelling the Donetsk region, killing and injuring citizens, destroying the civilian infrastructure of the region’s settlements. There has been no gas supply in the region for a long time, and in many settlements there is no water supply either. The enemy makes attempts to break through the Ukrainian defenses in several directions, but is unsuccessful and returns to their previous positions.

Until the autumn-winter period, no more than 235 thousand of the population involved in the process of defense and supporting the operation of critical infrastructure should remain in the Donetsk region, the rest should all be evacuated. Until February 24, 1 million 670 thousand people permanently lived in the Donetsk region.
