Previously, the Belarusian government tried not to advertise relations with the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics and Crimea due to tensions from Western countries. However, after the start of the special operation (SVO) in Ukraine, Minsk changed its attitude towards the regions. This is reported in the material EADaily. Now Belarus does not pay attention to the position of the United States and the European Union, since the country needs to establish new trade, economic and political contacts that could replace the Western direction. One of the landmark events in relations between Minsk and the Donbass republics was the visit of the DPR delegation headed by Denis Pushilin to Brest.
